The Cambridgeshire Bobby Scheme is calling for golfers in the county to sign up to their second charity golf day to help them raise some money for the charity.

The event, being held on Friday 13 June 2014, at St Ives [Hunts] Golf Course, has been organised to raise vital funds to support the charity in its quest to help the elderly and most vulnerable people in the county feel safe in their homes.

Shirley Simpson, the charity’s Trust Manager, said: “We hope people will get out their clubs and join us at our golf day – all in aid of a good cause! Our first golf day held last year proved very successful and over £1000 was raised for the charity. We want to beat that total this year!

Teams of four are needed to take part, at a cost of £140 per team, Stapleford rules will apply and non-handicap players are welcome. The cost includes a two course lunch and a trophy will be awarded to the winning team plus other prizes, including a raffle.

Shirley added: “We hope the golf day will be a fun way for us to raise awareness of the great work the Bobby Scheme carries out and some funds to help us continue to do so.”
We also need raffle prizes for the day – if anyone would like to donate a prize we would be very grateful.

To sign a team up to the event or for further information, email sas@cpstrust.org or call 01480 413311, or download an entry form from our website.
